The Limited Edition MWC Mk III Automatic in black PVD on a high-visibility orange strap, with an additional black strap, is a recreation of the classic 1950s NATO specification watches made under UK Ministry of Defence reference 6B/346 Mk XI.

While it closely resembles the style of watches from that era, it boasts significantly improved accuracy thanks to a modern 24-jewel automatic movement with a hacking function.

In today's budget-conscious military, high-quality watches like these are rare, as cheaper models often suffice. Historically, military forces purchased watches from brands like Rolex, IWC, Omega, and Longines. Although those days are gone, many still desire a military-style watch with modern enhancements. The MKIII is crafted with no expense spared, featuring a high-performance movement and a brushed stainless steel 1950s/60s design case, manufactured and hand-finished in Zürich. The quality of the finish is superior to any current military watches.

The covert matte black non-reflective PVD finish is often specified for special forces, anti-terrorist units, and covert operations. Unlike lower-quality painted finishes that can fade or rub off, the PVD process chemically alters the steel's color at a molecular level, ensuring it remains intact during heavy use. However, it can be compromised if the case is severely damaged by metal gouging or intense abrasion.

This watch features a screw caseback and screw-down crown, offering high accuracy, robustness, and water resistance up to 100m (330ft).

*Many buyers inquire about the advantages of sapphire crystal over standard mineral crystal. Synthetic sapphire is the preferred material for watch crystals due to its exceptional strength, shatter resistance, and scratch resistance. Our observations indicate that over 90% of cracked watch crystals involve timepieces with mineral glass crystals. Even with hardened mineral crystals, they fall short of sapphire in terms of durability under adverse conditions. Sapphire crystals are robust due to a meticulous process: post-manufacturing, the sapphire glass undergoes heat treatment to eliminate internal stresses, which can cause weaknesses. The crystals are then coated with two layers of anti-reflective coating. This process is also used in the latest iPhone screens. Although sapphire crystal comes at a higher cost, it is typically found in higher-end watches, offering longevity, resilience, and superior performance.

    Order and Shipment Confirmation

    You will generally receive two emails after placing an order:

    1. Confirmation of receipt of the order and payment.
    2. Notification of shipment once the goods are dispatched.

    Processing Time: Orders are shipped by the Post Office or Courier within 48 hours of payment processing. Note that our shipping centers are closed on Saturdays and Sundays; therefore, orders placed during this time may take up to 72 hours to be dispatched. This includes orders placed after 14:00 (CET) on Fridays.

    We do not accept liability for goods lost after delivery to a PO Box. We reserve the right to cancel orders where the delivery address is a PO Box. Similarly, we do not accept liability for goods lost after confirmed delivery to APO or BFPO locations.

    Customer Notification: It is the customer's responsibility to notify us if goods are not received within 21 days of the estimated delivery date. If no notification is made within this period, the buyer is deemed to have received the goods.

    Safe Place Deliveries

    Some delivery companies allow for delivery without a signature, leaving the item in a "safe place" (e.g., shed, garage, porch). If you choose this option, it is at your own risk. We initially send items by a secure service requiring a signature or proof of delivery. Using a "safe place" increases the risk of theft. We advise ensuring deliveries require a signature to ensure safe receipt.

    Failed Deliveries

    If an item is refused and returned to us, we will refund the order less the outbound and inbound shipping charges once the item is received back at our packing and shipping center. For business locations, please notify the receiving personnel of the expected delivery to avoid refusals. Usually, we will be notified of delivery issues and will email you for instructions. It is important to act quickly to avoid return and associated costs.
