Specifications

Occasionally slight improvements or changes will be made to a watches specification, for example a model which is using a Ronda 705 movement might be upgraded to a Ronda 715, water resistance can sometimes be increased where we can improve the watches performance, this means that for example a watch with a plexiglass crystal (plexiglass is always challenging when it comes to water resistance) might have been 30 meter water resistant but would be upgraded in future production to 50 m, other small improvements are things such as the crystal itself which can sometimes be upgraded for example from mineral to sapphire. The specifications are always improvements no product is ever downgraded, there can also sometimes be slight changes in case dimensions but it will always be a minor change which is made for technical reasons. Whenever possible we try to ensure that the details on the website are exact but sometimes the improved models run alongside the earlier model so we have no alternative but to keep to the old specification for a transitional period and only make the changes on the website once only the new higher specification stock is for sale.

Billing Currency

We accept payments in all major currencies. If you have any questions, or need to confirm any details regarding the currency you wish to use please feel free to contact us at accounts@mwc.watch

One link which we have found quite useful, especially for high value orders is this one at UPS, which enables you to get an estimate for any shipment worldwide. The most important thing is not so much the country, which is sending the item as your own country where the item is being received, keep in mind you can always confirm with us which location would be shipping the order https://wwwapps.ups.com/tradeability/?loc=en_ch

Cancellation Between Placing an Order and Shipment

To ensure speedy trouble free deliveries MWC like many companies use various order fulfillment, packing and shipping centers in several locations. This system greatly improves the delivery and order processing generally. The only downside is that if an order is placed and then suddenly cancelled between payment and shipment we are likely to have difficulty preventing the from order being shipped and this is especially the case over the weekends and when the applicable shipping center switchboard is closed. The issue arises because orders are sent to the shipping centers automatically from the website immediately they are placed and in many cases the packing staff are processing the incoming orders when the call center is closed because staff pack 24/7 in some cases, this means they might well be picked up by the Post Office, UPS, DPD etc before we have time to prevent the shipment.

In some cases the item can be retrieved from the courier company or post office cage in which the parcels are bulk collected but because these cages contain large numbers of parcels (often 100+) the packing center charge us between €13.50 and €35.00 ($15.00 - $40.00 / £10.50 - £27.50) due to the amount of time they have to spend going through all the parcels until the item is located. If this situation arises we have no choice but to pass this charge onto the buyer so it might be easier to return the item after it is received in which case the only amount incurred is the outbound shipping charge.  In the event you have any concerns or have ordered the wrong item etc please contact us and we will gladly advise the most cost effective way to resolve the problem.

Local Taxes

Please note that local charges (e.g. sales taxes such as GST or VAT, customs duty, carrier disbursement fees etc) can sometimes be levied, this will depend on where you are located and the local customs regulations, we tend to find that some countries levy these charges and others do not. In the event these charges are applied they are the buyers responsibility because they are something over which we have no control.

Returns & Refunds Policy

If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your purchase, or it does not meet your requirements, you can return it to us within 14 days of receipt, it must be in its original condition and packaging. If you wish to return a watch please notify us using the form at the link below*. Please note that the watch, strap or other item purchased must be in new and resalable condition. If the item has been worn and the plastic protectors on the dial and/or caseback have been removed, or there are other factors indicating usage such as the strap shows signs of the watch being worn the returns policy will not apply. For clarification the essential point is that the goods should not have been used beyond what would be expected if you had handled or examined an item in a shop prior to making a purchase.

* This does not apply if you have asked for a watch to be engraved or personalized in some other way because in these circumstances it cannot be resold.

In the unlikely event that you receive a watch that is defective, has been damaged in transit, or is not the one you ordered then you can return it to us for exchange or a full refund within 14 days of receipt. In the case of damage please contact us as soon as possible because the delivery company sometimes wishes to inspect the item in situ or alternatively uplift the item as quickly as possible after the delivery. Under the above circumstances we will also refund you the cost incurred in returning the item to us. If you are returning a watch because it is incorrect, we will only refund your postage costs if the item is wrong through an error on our part and not if the watch was wrongly ordered by yourself. Particular care should be taken when ordering straps to ensure that you order the correct width to avoid the problem of needing to exchange the item.

Failed delivery of an item ordered due to non-acceptance of the delivery

Please note that if you order an item and the delivery company inform us that the item was refused it would be returned back to us, in many cases especially with FedEx, UPS etc they will also charge a return fee to send it back. Because in these circumstances we have done everything that is required to get the item to you we would refund less both the outbound and Inbound shipping charges once the item was received back at our packing and shipping centre. Unfortunately sometimes if you are having the order delivered to a business location the people receiving inbound parcels are prone to refuse an item without checking with the individual concerned we would strongly recommend being very cautious in this situation and notifying the people who handle the incoming parcels that you are expecting a delivery to avoid this problem occurring. Usually, we would be notified there is a delivery issue and would email you for your instructions, normally these sorts of problems can be avoided if you contact the carrier and tell them there is an error but it's very important to act quickly to avoid the return and associated costs.

UK Orders Shipped by DPD

(Please note this only applies to orders from the UK which are then transferred from this location to our UK shipping Center)

When we ship an order with DPD (in the UK) DPD will send you an email and/or an SMS message depending on the information which was provided at the time of ordering. It is extremely important to keep an eye on this information and also the online tracking because if they are unable to deliver due to nobody being available to receive the parcel, and in the absence of receiving amended delivery instructions on the day of delivery they will often return the item back to our packing and shipping center. In the event that this occurs, they apply a charge, which is the same as the outbound charge for the return of the item. Whilst DPD are normally very reliable, as far as the delivery is concerned, this is one issue which can create major headaches.

As I'm sure you appreciate we cannot accept these charges so it is the buyers responsibility to keep an eye on the tracking which is uploaded to our website and sent as an email and also to check for the messages from DPD themselves which in the case of email can sometimes go into spam. Some customers have told us this seems to be a significant problem with Gmail, but it could arise with any email system.

In the event of a failed delivery, it means that two charges would arise for both the outbound and the return shipping plus another charge for redelivery. Because DPD are quite proactive in sending messages plus we add the tracking as soon as we ship to the website it should be possible to avoid these issues, but it makes sense for us to point out the potential problems that could arise in the event a customer is not being proactive to ensure a successful delivery.

How To Return An Item

Items must be returned in their original packaging and with all booklets, guarantees, film on the crystal and product tags if they are attached. To enable us to process your return more efficiently, we ask you to include a covering note with your item stating why it is being returned and whether you want an exchange or a refund. In this note you should also include your order or invoice number, or a copy of the original invoice, so that we can track your order on the system. If an item is returned without a covering note then, if we are able to trace your order on the system, we shall contact you by phone or email to ascertain the reason for return. If we do not hear back from you within 30 days we reserve the right to either return the item to you or, if the item qualifies, process a refund minus a 7.5% administration fee. Returns should be sent via an insured and traceable method, we cannot be held liable for any items which go missing in the post and do not reach us. Please note that if you do not pay enough postage for the parcel and we have to pay a fee to take receipt of it, then we shall deduct that amount plus a 7.5% administration fee from any refund. Please allow up to 7 working days after receipt for all refunds and exchanges to be processed. Please contact us before returning an item and we will confirm the location that it should be sent to.
