Policies and Terms Subject to Change Without Notice

We endeavor to notify our users of any changes in our policies, legal notices, and disclaimers. However, to allow MWC to quickly and efficiently update, improve, and manage this site, we reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions of Use, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice. You should always check these Terms and Conditions of Use before using the MWC website. Your continued use of the MWC website following the posting of changes to these Terms and Conditions of Use means you accept those changes.

Specifications

Occasionally, slight improvements or changes will be made to a watch’s specifications. For example, a model using a Ronda 705 movement might be upgraded to a Ronda 715. Water resistance can sometimes be increased to improve performance, such as upgrading from 30m to 50m. Other improvements include upgrading crystals from mineral to sapphire. The specifications are always improvements; no product is ever downgraded. There can also be slight changes in case dimensions for technical reasons. Whenever possible, we try to ensure that the website details are exact, but during transitional periods, we may keep the old specifications until the new higher specification stock is for sale.

Billing Currency

We accept payments in all major currencies. If you have any questions or need to confirm details regarding the currency you wish to use, please contact us at accounts@mwc.watch

Cancellation Between Placing an Order and Shipment

MWC uses various order fulfillment, packing, and shipping centers in several locations to ensure speedy, trouble-free deliveries. This system greatly improves delivery and order processing. However, if an order is placed and then canceled between payment and shipment, we may have difficulty preventing the order from being shipped, especially over weekends or when the shipping center's switchboard is closed. Orders are sent to the shipping centers automatically from the website immediately upon placement. In many cases, the packing staff process incoming orders even when the call center is closed, and parcels might be picked up by the Post Office, UPS, DPD, etc., before we can prevent the shipment.

In some cases, the item can be retrieved from the courier company's or post office's bulk collection cage. However, because these cages contain many parcels (often 100+), the packing center charges us between €13.50 and €35.00 ($15.00 - $40.00 / £10.50 - £27.50) due to the time required to locate the item. If this situation arises, we must pass this charge onto the buyer. It might be easier to return the item after receipt, in which case the only amount incurred is the outbound shipping charge. If you have concerns or have ordered the wrong item, please contact us, and we will gladly advise the most cost-effective solution.

Local Taxes

Please note that local charges such as sales taxes (e.g., GST or VAT), customs duties, and carrier disbursement fees may be levied depending on your location and local customs regulations. Some countries impose these charges, while others do not. If such charges apply, they are the buyer's responsibility, as we have no control over them. We recommend purchasing from the appropriate site: for instance, if you are in the European Union, please make your purchase at www.mwc.eu; in the UK, use www.mwcwatches.co.uk; and for other locations, visit www.mwcwatches.com or www.mwcuhren.ch.

If you place an order and later decide to decline the delivery, the carrier may charge fees for both the outbound and return shipments, depending on the carrier used. If this occurs and the carrier confirms that you declined the order, we will bill you for both the outbound shipping and any penalty fees imposed by the shipping company to return the goods to us.

If you need to clarify any details regarding local taxes for your location, please contact us before placing an order. For clarification, goods shipped to the EU can be dispatched from our EU location, and we also have a UK shipping center. In the United States, orders under $800 do not incur taxes or fees. In Australia, orders up to AU$1000 are tax-free. Many other countries have similar regulations, which you can verify using this helpful link: Zonos De Minimis Values and also this link to calculate taxes for shipments to most countries worldwide https://www.simplyduty.com/import-calculator/

The most important factor in the calculation is the destination country where the item is being received, as the origin country typically has minimal impact on the total amount. For instance, if we send a watch valued at US$1250, €1150, or £1000 to Ontario, Canada, from Germany, the UK, or Switzerland (or most other countries), the tax would consistently be around US$245, €220, or £186. It's important to note that within the EU, goods moving between member countries are not subject to any taxes.

Returns & Refunds Policy

If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your purchase, or it does not meet your requirements, you can return it to us within 14 days of receipt. It must be in its original condition and packaging. If you wish to return a watch, please notify us using the form at the link below*. The watch, strap, or other item purchased must be in new and resalable condition. If the item has been worn, the plastic protectors on the dial and/or caseback have been removed, or there are other factors indicating usage, such as the strap showing signs of wear, the returns policy will not apply. The essential point is that the goods should not have been used beyond what would be expected if you had handled or examined an item in a shop before purchase.

  • This does not apply if you have asked for a watch to be engraved or personalized in any way, as these items cannot be resold.

If you receive a watch that is defective, damaged in transit, or not the one you ordered, you can return it to us for an exchange or a full refund within 14 days of receipt. In the case of damage, please contact us as soon as possible, as the delivery company may wish to inspect the item in situ or uplift the item quickly after delivery. Under these circumstances, we will also refund you the cost incurred in returning the item to us. If you are returning a watch because it is incorrect, we will only refund your postage costs if the item is wrong due to an error on our part, not if you ordered the wrong watch. Particular care should be taken when ordering straps to ensure you order the correct width to avoid needing to exchange the item.

Failed Delivery Due to Non-Acceptance

If you order an item and the delivery company informs us that the item was refused, it will be returned to us. In many cases, especially with FedEx, UPS, etc., they will also charge a return fee. Because we have fulfilled our obligation to deliver the item, we will refund you less the outbound and inbound shipping charges once the item is received back at our packing and shipping center. If you are having the order delivered to a business location, ensure the receiving staff are aware to avoid refusal. We will notify you of delivery issues and seek your instructions. Contacting the carrier to correct any errors can usually avoid return and associated costs.

UK Orders Shipped by DPD

When we ship an order with DPD (in the UK), DPD will send you an email and/or SMS message based on the information provided at the time of ordering. It is crucial to monitor this information and the online tracking. If DPD is unable to deliver due to no one being available and no amended delivery instructions are provided, they will often return the item to our packing and shipping center, applying a return charge equivalent to the outbound charge.

As a buyer, it is your responsibility to keep an eye on tracking and DPD messages, which can sometimes end up in spam folders, particularly with Gmail. In the event of a failed delivery, charges for both outbound and return shipping plus another charge for redelivery may apply. DPD is proactive in sending messages, and we add tracking information to our website as soon as we ship, helping avoid these issues.

How To Return An Item

Items must be returned in their original packaging with all booklets, guarantees, film on the crystal, and product tags attached. Include a covering note stating why the item is being returned and whether you want an exchange or a refund. Include your order or invoice number, or a copy of the original invoice, to help us track your order. If an item is returned without a covering note, we will contact you to ascertain the reason for return. If we do not hear back within 30 days, we reserve the right to either return the item to you or process a refund minus a 7.5% administration fee. Returns should be sent via an insured and traceable method, as we cannot be held liable for any items that go missing in the post. If you do not pay enough postage for the parcel and we incur a fee, we will deduct that amount plus a 7.5% administration fee from any refund. Allow up to 7 working days after receipt for refunds and exchanges to be processed. Contact us before returning an item, and we will confirm the return address.
