Solid Pewter Tankards
Our solid pewter tankards are manufactured in both London and Birmingham to the same designs and dimensions used by the manufacturer in the 19th century, this means that as an example our 19th century pattern Baluster tankard (SKU Code: JY/BALU1) not only looks identical to made back in the 19th and early 20th centuries but it even has exactly the same weight at 584g (1.29lb) this makes it vastly more substantial than tankards produced by other manufacturers which are much lighter, surprisingly many companies do not even state the weight of the tankards which they sell but having weighed a large cross section and finding that some are as light as 200g (7oz) with an average of 275g (9.7oz) its not surprising. These tankards weighing in at 584g (1.29lb) are in a complete league of their own when compared to the lightweight alternatives.
