This diver’s watch is a modern remake of one of our iconic 1980s military models, crafted with a robust black PVD stainless steel case and upgraded for today's demanding users. Originally redeveloped for a U.S. defense contractor, the watch features a 24-jewel automatic NH35A movement, a sapphire crystal, and a 300m water resistance rating.

This version comes fitted with a matching black PVD stainless steel bracelet, giving it a bold, professional look ideal for both field use and everyday wear.

Military-Grade PVD Finish
The covert matte black non-reflective PVD coating is often specified in military contracts, particularly for special forces, anti-terrorist units, and covert operations.

Unlike painted finishes, which can fade or peel, the PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process chemically bonds the finish to the steel at a molecular level, offering excellent durability under heavy use. While it can be damaged by deep gouges or extreme abrasion, it far outperforms lower-quality coatings in long-term wear.

Historical & Technical Background
This model draws direct inspiration from the 1980 UK Ministry of Defence specification for automatic diver’s watches (DEF STAN 66-4 [Part 1] Issue 3).

It retains key design features from the original, including the unidirectional rotating bezel and high-visibility dial, which was originally marked with tritium. In this modern version, tritium has been replaced with non-radioactive Luminova, and the mineral crystal has been upgraded to sapphire for greatly enhanced durability and scratch resistance.
